OFFICIAL FIELD RULES OF THE TEMECULA VALLEY FLYERS
To promote safety and as a courtesy to the other pilots, the Board of Directors of TVF has established the following flight regulations:
1. All TVF members are responsible to abide by and assist in the enforcement of these regulations.
2. You must be a current member of the AMA.
3. You must be a current member of the TVF or guest of a member and have a TRUST certificate.
4. No high speed passes under 30 feet while others are flying. Take off and landings are normal and not
considered high speed passes.
5. 3D type maneuvers, such as hovering, etc., flown below 30 ft., are not to be flown in front of any other
occupied flight stations. It is recommended that 3D pilots use the far west station and keep their maneuvers
west of that station.
6. Prior to walking "On the Runway," be sure everyone flying from a flight station is informed and you have
received acknowledgment. Also, be sure to inform the parties when you are "Clear" of the runway.
7. All combustion engines must be muffled and be <92db. All combustion type aircraft must be tested prior to
flight.
8. No running of engines or electric motors in the pit area. Long duration engine testing and break runs are to
be done at the area south east of the pit area, electric motors can be run west of the pits. Prop blast to be
directed away from the pits.
9. Do not fly over the pit area, horse ranch, or parking area. All flights must remain over in area shown on map.
10. Only one airplane is allowed at each flying station at a time.
11. Take all of your trash home with you. We do not have trash pickup service at the field.
12. Clean your worktable when finished flying.
13. Spectators must remain in or behind the pit area fence.
14. Alcoholic beverages and drugs are not allowed at the field.
15. Hours of operation: Monday thru Saturday (electrics) 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (Nitro/Gas) 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Sunday 8-12 (electrics only).
16. If you bring a pet to the field, it must be kept on a leash and remain in the pits or parking area. It is also your
responsibility to cleanup after you pet.
17. Only up to four pilots may fly at any given pilot station or other position or guardian on the field.
18. Youth members under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent/Guardian.
19. Pilots and advisors shall stand in or behind the fenced pilot station area.
20. A map of the free fly zone is posted and all pilots are to fly within the posted allowed flying area.
21. When flying FPV, a spotter is required (Ref; AMA Flight Safety guide #550) and the pilot and spotter must be
behind the tall pilot station screen or in the pit area.
22. There is an established 400 foot ceiling for model aircraft.
23. Throttle cut switch is required for all aircraft being recovered or carried to and from the runway.
24. Always unplug the airplane battery before turning off transmitter.
25. Be aware of other fliers that may be looking for a downed aircraft.
26. Always check your propeller for damage and that it is secure before you fly. Be sure it has been balanced.
27. Store and charge your batteries in a fire-proof container or battery bag.
28. In the case of a crash, move the damaged battery to a safe place to be monitored. Use supplied sand bucket.
29. Members flying gliders should be standing or sitting at the west end of the shade structure, so they are
shielded from the flight line traffic.
30. Chairs shall only be used behind the pilot stations or in the pit area.
31. Airplanes, rotor-craft, lighter-than-air aircraft, and powered parachutes may be using the same air
space we are using. If you hear or see other aircraft near our field tell the pilots who are flying to
be sure they are aware.
